It is located within an area of huge ecological interest: the Mount of El Pardo. In the 18th century, King Charles III commissioned his architect, Sabatini, to transform the palace which Charles I had previously built, and whose original courtyard is still standing. Rooms decorated with tapestries by Bayeu and Goya can be visited.
