The Royal Palace of Aranjuez fundamentally dates from the 18th century, although it was started by Philip II. The Porcelain Study commissioned by Charles III and the Isabel II Throne Room stand out from amongst its rooms. It is surrounded by magnificent gardens. The Farmer's House, an elegant 18th century mansion, is located in the Prince's garden. The Boat museum conrtains some of the vessels that were used by the court to sail down the Tagus river.
