Jose Navarro Morenes

Morenes was a Spanish equestrian who was able to win silver and gold medals in two Olympiads as part of the team jumping events. Jose Alvarez de Bohorquez

Another historical figure who might be the inspiration to novices trying to be an equestrian in Madrid is the Spanish equestrian Jose Alvarez de Bohorquez. Jose Alvarez de Bohorquez is known to have helped snare the gold medal for team jumping for Spain during the Amsterdam Summer Olympics in 1928. Before that, he had also represented Spain in other Olympiads. He died in 1993, aged 97.
